According to a study by the Internet Journal of Health, senior citizens are the fastest growing group of Internet and computer users in the U.S. Knowing the future of technology and the approaching baby boomer generation, Episcopal SeniorLife Communities, a high quality senior care facility in Rochester, New York, recognizes the need to provide robust wireless services for their current and future residents as well as their families and visitors.

A wireless site survey, performed by VPN Systems in December 2007, is the foundation ESC's wireless network. The plan calls for wireless support of automated electronic medical records including clinical histories, insurance information, medication tracking and administration.
